Der Brite Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, geboren 1832 in Daresbury, gab sich das Pseudonym Lewis Carroll als Autor des erstmals 1865 erschienen Kinderbuches. Dodgson war bekannt als eigenbrötlerischer Dozent, er war Professor für Mathematik und beschränkte seine heiteren Momente auf die mit Kindern (vgl. Gardner 2000: o.S.). Da es sich um einen weltweit verbreiteten Klassiker handelt, bietet es sich an, dieses Buch und seine Geschichte genauer zu untersuchen, vor allem in Bezug auf seine Hauptfigur von damals zu heute, da in der Zeit von mehr als 100 Jahren sich das Frauenbild rasant verändert hat. Wie hat sich das Gesellschaftsbild, vor allem durch die Medien, verändert? Welche Adaptionen gibt es? Wieso ist die Geschichte so besonders? Bis heute entwickelte sich diese Geschichte durch ihre unterschiedlichen Regisseure/Regisseurinnen und SchriftstellerInnen, die jeweils andere Blickwinkel auf die Rolle der Frau warfen, weiter. Für die „Frau von heute" gibt es zwar keine genaue Definition, jedoch wird versucht, durch eine Analyse Klarheit über das moderne Frauenbild zu verschaffen. Hinzu kommt das Arbeiten mit Animationen, womit es heutzutage uneingeschränkte Darstellungsmöglichkeiten gibt. Die Arbeit konzentriert sich nur auf bedeutende Adaptionen der Kindergeschichte, ausgehend vom Film Alice im Wunderland in 3D aus dem Jahr 2010 von Tim Burton, der hauptsächlich mit den Büchern Alice im Wunderland aus dem Jahr 1973 (vgl.
