Barbera d'Alba Superiore 'Bricco delle Olive' Magnum Palladino 2019

“Bricco delle Olive” by Palladino is a Barbera d’Alba Superiore that is memorable for its fruity aromas and the tasty charge on the palate, where the sharp sip expresses the natural expressiveness of its terroir, Serralunga d’Alba. Excellent to drink right now, it is a bottle that can still be stored in the cellar for the next five years, choosing to taste it when it has developed a more nuanced organoleptic profile. This “Bricco delle Olive” by Palladino originates from Barbera grapes coming from a vineyard located in Serralunga d’Alba. The vines here grow using the guyot system on soils rich in both limestone and clay. We are at about 330 meters above sea level, facing east and southeast. The grapes obtained from the destemming of the bunches are pressed, and the must obtained ferments in stainless steel containers. The aging process then takes place, during which the wine remains for 15 months maturing in oak barriques,until Palladino considers it ready to be bottled and marketed.The Barbera d’Alba Superiore “Bricco delle Olive” presents itself with a ruby color, adorned with a beautiful concentration. The ripe fruit, particularly the sour cherries, shine on the nose, revealing hints of nutmeg and more balsamic nuances.
