PRS Custom 24 10 Top Amber USA 2009 Electric Guitar Amber - Refurbished

This is a PRS Custom 24 10 top in Amber finish. Made in the USA in 2009 this guitar features a set-neck construction consisting of a Mahogany body with Maple top, Mahogany neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include PRS top locking tuning machines and 6-point vintage-style tremolo bridge. A pair of PRS humbucking pickups are fitted with a PRS Vintage Bass in the neck and a PRS Vintage Treble in the bridge. These are wired to a 5-way pickup selector, master volume and master tone controls. The Mahogany neck plays superbly well, with the ‘Standard’ profile offering a smooth, responsive and articulate paying experience in all registers. Certainly, the profile is well suited to lead players as it is slim enough for fast melodic lines and solos. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25" scale, and the double cutaway body design with signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, its 10" radius feeling practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques whilst the attractive and unique Abalone inlays add a touch of luxury to the playing experience. The pair of PRS humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, with plenty of switching options to ensure versatility. The Vintage Bass in the neck position is warm and round, and delivers plenty of power to push those lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter, and can handle serious amounts of gain for a saturated rhythm guitar sound on your riffs and power chords. In positions 2 & 4 the pickups effectively split, providing an out-of-phase single coil sound which works well for crystal clear shimmering clean sounds. The control layout remains simple but offers plenty of scope for shaping your tone.
