Lo Chardonnay di Pierre Morey nasce nel cuore della Côte-d'Or, nel celebre e rinomato terroir di Meursault, famoso nel mondo per produrre alcuni tra i più grandi bianchi di Borgogna. Un vino di notevole personalità ed eleganza, uno Chardonnay dal profilo fresco e dal sorso piacevole, che esprime aromi d’agrumi, frutta gialla, note tostate e sentori minerali tipici del territorio. Armonioso e intenso, rappresenta perfettamente l’espressione di questo grande vitigno di Borgogna nella sua migliore purezza espressiva. Il bianco Chardonnay è prodotto con uve che provengono da diverse parcelle situate all’interno del territorio di Mersault, che complessivamente coprono una superficie di 1,76 ettari, tutte nelle vicinanze della zona dell’Appellation Village. Le vigne sono state piantate verso la fine degli anni ’80 su terre di matrice argillo-calcarea abbastanza profonde, che donano vini aromaticamente intensi, ricchi e adatti a un medio invecchiamento. In campagna il Domaine Pierre Morey segue i dettami dell’agricoltura Biodinamica, nel massimo rispetto dell’ambiente. La fermentazione alcolica avviene in barrique di rovere francese con lieviti indigeni. Il vino si affina sulle fecce fini in barrique per un periodo di almeno 18 mesi prima d’essere imbottigliato. Pierre Morey ci regala uno Chardonnay classico, che ben racconta nel calice la tradizione, il savoir-faire e il terroir della Borgogna. Un bianco che affascina per freschezza e intensità aromatica adatto a chi conosce e ama la Borgogna, ma perfetto anche per chi si avvicina per la prima volta a questa regione e vuole conoscerne il volto più autentico e sincero. Nel calice ha un colore giallo brillante con riflessi dorati. Al naso esprime profumi floreali, aromi agrumati, di frutta gialla matura, sfumature di erbe aromatiche e morbide spezie. Il sorso è fresco e dinamico, con centro bocca dal frutto ricco e finale attraversato da una piacevole vena sapida e minerale.
