In particolare, le parcelle si trovano nelle zone di Mount Baker e Frankland, impiantate su terreni caratterizzati da un’alta concentrazione di limo, sabbia e ghiaia, posti a un’altitudine di 200-250 metri sul livello del mare. In cantina la lavorazione prevede una vinificazione in rosso con breve macerazione sulle bucce e fermentazione alcolica spontanea in vasche di acciaio inox, medesimi contenitori vinari dove ha luogo il periodo di maturazione di alcuni mesi che precede il definitivo imbottigliamento. Lungo l’intero processo produttivo è poi escluso il ricorso a operazioni di chiarifica o filtrazione. Il ‘Drinking Wine’ di Express Winemakers ha un colore rosso tenue che ricorda la fragola. Al naso gradevoli richiami fruttati di lampone, mora e ciliegia si alternano a sensazioni erbacee e a sentori più profondi di liquirizia. Assaggio fresco, succoso e beverino, di grande tipicità e scorrevolezza, dotato di un tannino fine che anticipa l’intensa chiusura fruttata.
